Team Headshots in the Bay Area: How On-Site Headshot Days Work

Double-click to edit...

If your team is spread across offices in San Francisco, San Jose, and the East Bay, getting everyone to a studio for headshots is a hard sell. People lose half a day, the photos still look different from person to person, and the project drags on for weeks. That is why we bring headshot days to you. We set up at your office, photograph your team in one visit, and deliver a consistent set of portraits you can use everywhere.

How an on-site headshot day works

We arrive with a backdrop and lighting, and we set up in a conference room, a lobby, or any quiet space with enough room for a small station. Once we are ready, each person takes about 10 minutes in front of the camera. That includes a few poses, a quick check of the images, and time to relax into a natural expression. No one needs to prepare a speech or know how to pose. We guide each person through it.

A schedule helps the day run well. We usually work through a list in order, with short breaks built in for meetings that run long. If someone is out sick or stuck on a call, we can move them to a later slot. For a team of 10, the photography itself takes under two hours, plus setup and packing up. Larger teams take longer, but the pace stays the same: steady, calm, and unrushed for each person.

Where we travel in the Bay Area

We cover the Bay Area for on-site headshot days, including San Francisco, San Jose, Palo Alto, Concord, and Milpitas, as well as the East Bay, the Peninsula, Silicon Valley, Marin, Napa, and Sonoma. Travel is included in the Bay Area rate, so you do not need to add a separate travel line to your budget. If your team works in more than one office, tell us early. We can talk through whether one central day works best, or whether a second day makes more sense.

We have photographed teams in tech offices, law firms, clinics, schools, and startups. The backdrop keeps the look consistent no matter where we set up, which matters when your website shows 10, 25, or 50 people side by side. A visitor should see one team, not a collection of photos taken in different places, in different light, over different years.

Price and what each person receives

Bay Area team headshots are $199 per person, with a 10 person minimum, so a day for 10 people starts at $1,990. Each person receives 2 retouched images. That gives most people one photo for the company website and one for LinkedIn, a bio, or a conference program. We also include a group photo of your team while we are on site, which is useful for an About page, a careers page, or a press release.

For teams of 25 or more, we offer volume pricing. The exact rate depends on your headcount and location, so send us your numbers and we will put together a clear quote. There are no surprise add-ons for travel within the Bay Area, and no extra charge for the group photo when it is part of the headshot day.

What happens after the shoot

After the session, each person gets access to an online gallery to choose their favorites. We then retouch the selected images with a light, natural touch. We clean up skin, handle stray hairs, and balance color and light, but we do not change how someone looks. The result should look like the person you work with every day, on a good day, in good light.

We also think about cropping. A headshot that works on a wide team page may need a tighter crop for LinkedIn or a speaker bio. If you tell us where the photos will be used most, we will keep that in mind when we shoot and retouch, so you are not left cropping a wide photo down to a small square later.

How to prepare your team

A short note to your team goes a long way. Ask people to wear solid colors if possible, and to avoid busy patterns or very bright white shirts under a dark jacket, which can distract from the face. Remind them that the session is short, and that they will be able to choose their own favorites afterward. That last point matters. People relax when they know they are not stuck with a single frame they did not pick.

It also helps to have one point person on your side. That person can share the schedule, keep the flow moving, and let us know if anyone needs to swap slots. We handle the photography, the lighting, and the setup. Your point person handles the people side, and together the day usually runs ahead of schedule.

If you are planning headshots for a Bay Area team, start with a headcount and a date range. We will confirm availability, talk through space and timing, and give you a straightforward price based on $199 per person. You can see the service and get in touch through our Bay Area headshots page. We would be glad to bring the studio to your office.

How Much Do Professional Headshots Cost in Sacramento?

Double-click to edit...

If you are updating your LinkedIn photo, refreshing a company team page, or getting ready for a conference, the first question is usually a simple one: what will it cost? We hear it a lot in Sacramento and Roseville, and we like a straight answer. This post gives you our current prices, what changes them, and what you can expect from the session to the final gallery.

The short answer on price

For one person, a professional headshot session with us is $295. That covers up to 30 minutes on location, either at your office or outdoors, an online gallery to choose from, and retouched images. If you want more retouched images than the package includes, each extra retouched image is $95.

For a small team, our team day at your office starts at $995 for up to 5 people. That price includes 2 retouched images per person. For larger teams, the rate is $149 per person for 6 or more people, and $129 per person for 10 or more people. Those larger team rates also include 2 retouched images per person.

We bring the backdrop and lighting to you, so your team does not have to travel to a studio or lose a whole day to separate appointments. Most people are in front of the camera for about 10 minutes, which keeps the day moving and keeps the look consistent from person to person.

What affects the price

Three things usually change the final number. The first is travel. A session in central Sacramento or Roseville is straightforward. A location further out can add travel time, and we will tell you that before you book, not after.

The second is how many retouched images you need. Two retouched images per person works well for most teams, because one can go on the website and one can be kept for LinkedIn, a press kit, or a conference program. If someone needs a third or fourth look, or a different crop for a specific use, that is where the $95 per extra retouched image comes in. It is easier to plan for that at the start than to add it later.

The third is a group photo. Many offices ask for one photo of the whole team together while we are already set up. That takes extra time to arrange and light well, especially for a larger group, so it can change the quote. Tell us in advance if you want one, and we will build it into the plan for the day.

What you get

You get a session that is built around real workplaces, not a studio backdrop that looks the same for everyone. We talk through clothing and background choices before the day, so people arrive knowing what to wear and what to expect. During the session, we guide posing in a calm, direct way. Most people tell us they were nervous at the start and relaxed after the first few frames, which is exactly how it should feel.

After the session, you get an online gallery. Each person picks their favorites, and we retouch the selections. Retouching here means careful, natural work: skin is cleaned up, stray hairs are handled, and color and light are balanced. We do not change how someone looks. The goal is a photo that looks like you on a good day, in good light, wearing clothes you would actually wear to work.

We also think about where the photo will live. A headshot for a law firm website, a tech company team page, and a speaker bio do not all need the same crop or feel. If you tell us the main use, we will keep that in mind when we shoot and when we retouch.

Turnaround and how to book

Your gallery is ready within 5 business days. That timing matters when a new hire starts on Monday, a website launches on Friday, or a conference program has a print deadline. If you have a firm deadline, tell us when you first get in touch and we will confirm whether we can meet it before you commit.

To book, send us your team size and location, and let us know if you want an individual session or a team day. For teams, a headcount helps us plan the schedule, because we allow about 10 minutes per person and build in time to set up the backdrop and lighting. For individuals, a 30 minute session gives us time for a few looks and a relaxed pace, without rushing.

If you are comparing photographers in Sacramento, ask what is included in the price, how many retouched images you receive, and how long delivery takes. Those three answers will tell you more than a single headline price. Our prices are listed here so you can plan with confidence, and we are glad to answer questions before you book.
