We photograph and film weddings across Napa and Sonoma, and we keep our pricing and our process clear so couples can book with confidence.

What wedding photography and video cost

Our wedding coverage starts with a simple choice. Photo or video on its own is $4,800 for 6 hours. Photo and video together is $8,500 for 6 hours. That combined package is the one most couples choose, because it covers the day from two angles without needing two separate teams that do not know each other.

Six hours covers most weddings, from getting ready through the ceremony, portraits, and the first part of the reception. If your day runs longer, or if you have a second location, we will quote the extra hours up front. A 40% retainer holds your date, with the balance due before the wedding. That retainer is part of the total, not an extra fee on top of it.

What you receive

With photo coverage, you receive all edited high resolution photos in an online gallery you can download, share, and print. We do not hold back images to sell later, and we do not watermark the gallery. The photos are edited for color and light, and they include the full story of the day, from details and getting ready through the ceremony, portraits, and the celebration.

With video coverage, you receive a 3 to 5 minute highlight film that works well to share with family and friends, plus the full ceremony video and the full toasts. Those full recordings matter years later, when you want to hear the vows and the speeches exactly as they were said, not only in a short edit. If you book photo and video together, you receive both the full gallery and the films.

What to ask before you book

Price is only part of the decision. These questions will help you compare photographers and videographers fairly, whoever you talk to.

First, ask about delivery timing. When will you see a preview, when will the full gallery arrive, and when will the films be ready? Get that in writing, so you are not guessing after the wedding.

Second, ask about backup shooters and backup equipment. What happens if a photographer is ill, or if a camera fails during the ceremony? We plan for those situations, and any experienced team should be able to explain their plan in plain terms.

Third, ask to see a full gallery, not only a highlight reel. A highlight reel shows the best 20 images from a wedding. A full gallery shows how a photographer handles a dark reception room, a bright vineyard ceremony, and a large family group. That is a better test of the work you will actually receive.

Fourth, ask who will be there on the day. Will you meet the people who photograph and film your wedding before you book, and will the same team stay through the whole day? Familiar faces make the day calmer, and a team that works together will stay out of each other's shots.

How we work on a wedding day

We arrive early, scout the light, and check the ceremony and portrait locations with your planner or venue coordinator. During getting ready, we keep the room calm and we work around hair and makeup, not through it. For the ceremony, we stay discreet, and we follow the rules of your venue and officiant about where we can stand.

Portraits are the part couples worry about most, and they do not need to take an hour. We work from a short family list you approve in advance, and we move through it in order so relatives can join the reception. Couple portraits in Napa and Sonoma usually take 20 to 30 minutes, often in the vineyard light just before sunset. We will guide you, but we will not pose you into stiff, formal shots that do not look like you.

During the reception, we cover the first dance, toasts, and the moments in between, such as guests talking, children dancing, and parents watching from the side of the room. Those in between moments are often the photos couples treasure most.

Napa and Sonoma venues book early, and popular Saturdays in spring and fall go first. If you have a date and a venue, that is enough to start. We plan our coverage around your schedule, not a fixed shot list, so the day feels natural for your guests.

Photo only, video only, or both

Many clients start by asking whether they need photos, video, or both, and the honest answer depends on how you plan to use the material afterward.

Photo only works well when you need images for a recap email, a company newsletter, social posts, and next year's invitation. Photos are easy to share, easy to print, and easy to use in presentations.

Video only makes sense when the sound and the movement matter, such as a keynote speech, a founder telling the company story, or a room full of people reacting to a surprise announcement. A short film can carry that energy in a way still photos cannot.

Photo and video together give you the most to work with. You get a full edited gallery for immediate use, plus a highlight film that sums up the event in a couple of minutes. If you have the budget for both, that combination usually gives the best return, because the same hours on site produce material for several different uses.

What it costs

Corporate event coverage is priced by the hours on site and the size of the crew. As a starting point, 4 hours of photo coverage is $1,600. Photo and video together for 4 hours is $2,600. Those example rates cover a single photographer or a photo and video team for a typical event in the Sacramento area.

Longer days, multiple rooms running at the same time, and a second shooter will change the price, and we will quote those details up front. Travel outside the Sacramento area can also affect the rate. What we will not do is surprise you after the event. Before you book, you will know the hours, the crew, and the deliverables included, so you can compare that quote with your event budget.

What you receive

After the event, you receive an edited online gallery of high resolution photos, ready to download and share. We edit for color and exposure, and we choose the strongest images rather than sending every frame we shot. That keeps the gallery useful for your team and for anyone who needs a photo quickly.

If video is included, you receive a 1 to 2 minute highlight film that works well on your website, in a recap email, and on social media. We also provide vertical clips cut for social, so your marketing team does not have to reformat a wide film for a phone screen. Turnaround depends on the size of the event, and we will give you a delivery date when you book. For most corporate events, the gallery and the highlight film arrive within a few weeks, and we can flag a small set of preview images early if you need something for a same week recap.

We set up at your office, photograph your team in one visit, and deliver a consistent set of portraits you can use everywhere.

How an on-site headshot day works

We arrive with a backdrop and lighting, and we set up in a conference room, a lobby, or any quiet space with enough room for a small station. Once we are ready, each person takes about 10 minutes in front of the camera. That includes a few poses, a quick check of the images, and time to relax into a natural expression. No one needs to prepare a speech or know how to pose. We guide each person through it.

A schedule helps the day run well. We usually work through a list in order, with short breaks built in for meetings that run long. If someone is out sick or stuck on a call, we can move them to a later slot. For a team of 10, the photography itself takes under two hours, plus setup and packing up. Larger teams take longer, but the pace stays the same: steady, calm, and unrushed for each person.

Where we travel in the Bay Area

We cover the Bay Area for on-site headshot days, including San Francisco, San Jose, Palo Alto, Concord, and Milpitas, as well as the East Bay, the Peninsula, Silicon Valley, Marin, Napa, and Sonoma. Travel is included in the Bay Area rate, so you do not need to add a separate travel line to your budget. If your team works in more than one office, tell us early. We can talk through whether one central day works best, or whether a second day makes more sense.

The backdrop keeps the look consistent no matter where we set up, which matters when your website shows 10, 25, or 50 people side by side. A visitor should see one team, not a collection of photos taken in different places, in different light, over different years.

Price and what each person receives

Bay Area team headshots are $199 per person, with a 10 person minimum, so a day for 10 people starts at $1,990. Each person receives 2 retouched images. That gives most people one photo for the company website and one for LinkedIn, a bio, or a conference program. We also include a group photo of your team while we are on site, which is useful for an About page, a careers page, or a press release.

For teams of 25 or more, we offer volume pricing. The exact rate depends on your headcount and location, so send us your numbers and we will put together a clear quote. There are no surprise add-ons for travel within the Bay Area, and no extra charge for the group photo when it is part of the headshot day.

What happens after the shoot

After the session, each person gets access to an online gallery to choose their favorites. We then retouch the selected images with a light, natural touch. We clean up skin, handle stray hairs, and balance color and light, but we do not change how someone looks. The result should look like the person you work with every day, on a good day, in good light.

We also think about cropping. A headshot that works on a wide team page may need a tighter crop for LinkedIn or a speaker bio. If you tell us where the photos will be used most, we will keep that in mind when we shoot and retouch, so you are not left cropping a wide photo down to a small square later.

How to prepare your team

A short note to your team goes a long way. Ask people to wear solid colors if possible, and to avoid busy patterns or very bright white shirts under a dark jacket, which can distract from the face. For one person, a professional headshot session with us is $295. That covers up to 30 minutes on location, either at your office or outdoors, an online gallery to choose from, and retouched images. If you want more retouched images than the package includes, each extra retouched image is $95.

For a small team, our team day at your office starts at $995 for up to 5 people. That price includes 2 retouched images per person. For larger teams, the rate is $149 per person for 6 or more people, and $129 per person for 10 or more people. Those larger team rates also include 2 retouched images per person.

We bring the backdrop and lighting to you, so your team does not have to travel to a studio or lose a whole day to separate appointments. Most people are in front of the camera for about 10 minutes, which keeps the day moving and keeps the look consistent from person to person.

What affects the price

Three things usually change the final number. The first is travel. A session in central Sacramento or Roseville is straightforward. A location further out can add travel time, and we will tell you that before you book, not after.

The second is how many retouched images you need. Two retouched images per person works well for most teams, because one can go on the website and one can be kept for LinkedIn, a press kit, or a conference program. If someone needs a third or fourth look, or a different crop for a specific use, that is where the $95 per extra retouched image comes in. It is easier to plan for that at the start than to add it later.

The third is a group photo. Many offices ask for one photo of the whole team together while we are already set up.
